Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - Cool Water in a Desert of Mediocrity - Mr. P Reviews Stuff - Ep. 15

 

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been on my list of games to play ever since I saw the first trailer. Now, after the game has released, was it worth the wait? Was the hype deserved, or did it turn out to be a disappointment? Well, the overall consensus seems to be that it was absolutely worth it and I wholeheartedly agree. So, in light of that, here's my yapping session about my experience with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Of Gooners and Grifters: Addressing the Melonie Mac Drama - Mr. P Talks about Stuff Ep. 03

 

It's that time again! The wokies and anti-woke crowd are at it again, and, once again, Melonie Mac is at the center of another firestorm of inconsistency and controversy. Is she completely wrong about everything? Are people blowing her statements out of proportion? Will the recent release of the Soul Reaver remasters send a strong enough signal that we need to find a way to get Amy Hennig to finish the story left off at Defiance? Only two of these questions are relevant to the video, but we'll dig into Melonie's statements and where she can not only clarify her inconsistencies, but how we can all work on our communication skills. Since Melonie is also a professing Christian, I'll take some time to address a few things related to that as well. As usual, I'll try to be as balanced in my approach here so if you're looking for red-meat or ragebait, this isn't the video for you...unless not hearing someone tear her a new one enrages you then you should watch this multiple times and share it with everyone you know.

Ys X: Nordics - Adol Returns on a Satisfying High-Seas Adventure - Mr. P Reviews Stuff - Ep. 15

Adol Christin returns once again in Ys X Nordics, an entry that I can only describe as the lovechild of Ys and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. As a longtime fan of the series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on my own copy of Ys X: Nordics once I saw the announcement trailer last year, even though I knew I'd have to wait about a year after it launched in Japan. So, was it worth it? Is Ys X: Nordics a worthy entry in the series? Was it wise to let Adol helm a ship given his history with shipwrecks in other titles? All that and more as we set sail (it was obligatory given the nature of the game) on our overview of where Ys has been until now and how Ys X builds on that franchise.

 

Touring the Silent Hill 2 Remake: An Environmental Comparison (Arrival - Blue Creek Apartments) - Mr. P Talks About Stuff: Episode 02

 For those who took the time to actually watch my last video, I mentioned wanting to do a more direct comparison of the different environments and how they were altered from the original. This is going to take a bit longer than planned, but here's the first part showcasing the Remake from the time you arrive in town up through finishing the Blue Creek Apartments.

 *Which means nothing since its also the only Silent Hill 2 Remake for any platform ever made...don't think too hard about it.

Anyway, here we go! Finally got around to recording and making my review of the Silent Hill 2 Remake after getting the platinum trophy. This will actually be the first in a series of three videos where I discuss more in depth the differences between Silent Hill 2 Remake and the original version of Silent Hill 2. Well, three planned videos at this point. Depending on how it goes, the story synopsis may be broken down more with each video focusing on a different character, but I haven't decided yet. So, in this video I'll be giving my general thoughts on the environments, the sound design, and how I feel the overall story was handled. I have some complaints here and there, but overall I was quite pleased with the results. At the end I yap for a bit about who to recommend it to and whether or not it was worth full price. Also, as a side note, I wasn't paid for any of this. So, if you don't like my perspective, just know that I came to all of my bad takes for free. Konami doesn't pay me anything.

Melonie Mac, Coarse Language, and Messaging - Mr. P Talks Theology - Ep. 11

 Over the last year or so I've noticed an increase in Christians feeling a bit bold in the use of offensive language when arguing against their ideological opponents. It's possible that this is just a small portion of the population, and I hope that's the case, but there have been some very public YouTubers who have fallen into this, such as Melonie Mac. It got me to thinking: just what standards should we have as Christians for dialogue with others (including unbelievers) in the public space? Are there any passages which give us guidance in this area. I believe there is, and I try to lay that out here for you good folks in the video, as well as making an appeal to Melonie for some self-reflection (whether she ever sees this or not).

Nothing aggravates me more than seeing people on my side misrepresent or exaggerate their position for clicks. Even worse is when the lunatics take over the asylum and the worst possible arguments begin to be picked up by the opposing side. In recent news, the Silent Hill 2 Remake has been getting a bunch of slack from the anti-woke side of things, and it's not quite being discussed fairly. In this video, I take the time to do some A-B comparisons with the original and show that, despite their being legitimate concerns and criticisms, much of what is being said is, at this point, completely overblown.
