No, Ted, Genesis 12 is Not About Modern Israel - Ep. 12

 

During a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Cruz once again promoted the interpretation of Genesis 12:2-3 that mandates Christians support the modern nation-state of Israel. After all, if the US blesses Israel, we will be blessed. But is this a correct understanding of the passage in light of the multitude of other passages in the New Testament dealing with the Israelites and the "true" Israel of God? The short answer is no, it is not. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Well, okay. It's a little stretch, but still one nonetheless. The thing is, the New Testament is very clear on who the true Israel of God is, and it's not ethnic Israel. Modern Israel is a thoroughly secular state with no connection to ancient Israel except in name only. Now, that's not to say we can't support them as an ally, only that scripture has nothing to do with it. In fact, one need only look at the Old Testament covenant curses against Israel and then look at the conditions for restoration in Deuteronomy 30 to see that the current nation is not, Biblically speaking, a restoration of ancient Israel. Plus, we have to factor in New Testament revelation of who the Messiah is and what Israel's continued rejection of Him means in light of all of this. Back to the main point, the phrase: "Bless those who bless Israel" is not actually in scripture. It's inferred, but even Paul explains what that means in Galatians 3, and it had everything to do with Israel being the one through whom the Messiah and the gospel would come. Supporting them was to support God's redemptive plan for mankind. Now that that's completed, and Israel rejected her Messiah, what does it mean to bless Israel? If Paul identifies the true seed of Abraham as Christ and not ethnic Jews, what does that mean for Genesis 12? Again, there's a lot of things people just don't take into consideration, and I deal with all that and a little more in the video.

At the end of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players are faced with a profound decision, one which has divided many players. Both choices have major implications for the fate of the world and carry with them their own set of moral decisions. Is there a right ending though? Are both choices equally valid and morally symmetrical? Is one of the main characters the true villain or are players misunderstanding the point of the story? Could I possibly have covered this in far less time? We'll look at all of these issues as I provide my own analysis of the endings of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and how they flow naturally from the larger narrative. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been on my list of games to play ever since I saw the first trailer. Now, after the game has released, was it worth the wait? Was the hype deserved, or did it turn out to be a disappointment? Well, the overall consensus seems to be that it was absolutely worth it and I wholeheartedly agree. So, in light of that, here's my yapping session about my experience with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Of Gooners and Grifters: Addressing the Melonie Mac Drama - Mr. P Talks about Stuff Ep. 03

 

It's that time again! The wokies and anti-woke crowd are at it again, and, once again, Melonie Mac is at the center of another firestorm of inconsistency and controversy. Is she completely wrong about everything? Are people blowing her statements out of proportion? Will the recent release of the Soul Reaver remasters send a strong enough signal that we need to find a way to get Amy Hennig to finish the story left off at Defiance? Only two of these questions are relevant to the video, but we'll dig into Melonie's statements and where she can not only clarify her inconsistencies, but how we can all work on our communication skills. Since Melonie is also a professing Christian, I'll take some time to address a few things related to that as well. As usual, I'll try to be as balanced in my approach here so if you're looking for red-meat or ragebait, this isn't the video for you...unless not hearing someone tear her a new one enrages you then you should watch this multiple times and share it with everyone you know.
